Vigor2820 為一台雙 WAN 口之 ADSL2+ 路由器，第二個 WAN 口可以連接 DSL/Cable 數據機或是光纖媒體轉換器，提供條件式規則負載平衡、斷線備援與隨選頻寬功能，另外它還提供進階頻寬管理機制諸如 QoS、連線數的控制、頻寬互借等等，讓用戶更易上手。

VPN 防火牆應用

Vigor2820 支援 32 條 VPN 通道並使用 IPSec / PPTP / L2TP / L2TP over IPSec with AES / DES / 3DES 協定加密資料，利用MD5 / SHA-1 驗證資料。

SPI 防火牆的物件式設計，使得防火牆功能設定更加容易，而 CSM 功能的 URL /網頁過濾、IM 及 P2P 應用設定則讓用戶能更精準更有效的執行網路存取動作。

Vigor2820 系列的數位內容安全管理 (CSM)功能可封鎖選定的點對點 (P2P) 及即時通訊 (IM) 之應用。不但可幫助員工專注其工作，還能防止這些應用可能內藏病毒，造成公司資料伺服器損害等威脅。
